Dingwall Owners Club

Folks, having sold (regrettably) my NG2 last year, I'm looking to either pick one up again or go for the V4 Combustion 5 string. Has anyone had the chance to compare the two? I'm leaning towards the regular Combustion simply because I think I'd prefer a bass/mid/treble setup over the bass/low mid/high mid of the NG2.

I need a favor from someone with an AB2!!!! Please.

Can some one snap a great resolution photo straight up and down of the resonating chamber design?
Something like this but a better photo if possible.

Thanks in advance.

I have no experience with that combo, but I'm sure it will sound awesome!
I have had maple wings basses and the Maple was awesome; I liked better than Alder.
The pic is the very first new for 2017 ABHS Solid Maple. I ordered it with a Wenge neck mostly because of the Indigo-Burst color combination/look but partially because I do like the sound of the Wenge.

This is quite good news. I've been waiting for a NG-2 ordered almost a year ago, and it's lateness may be a bonus in the end because of this. I'd planned all along to have it routed for a 3rd pickup when it arrives, so this may mean only a pickguard modification is required.

Yep.

I was joking with Sheldon at NAMM about how I'd clearly ordered my NG-2 too early ;)

I've got my NG-2 on order as well and that would be really cool to get one of the "new" versions. I want to make it a 3X and having the rounded pickups will just make everything easier for me.

I thought I read somewhere that they'll start building them as of March, so anything before then will still be the current style...but I'm hoping I'm wrong on that.

@Sheldon D. Any word?

You'd think you could always let people "cut in line"...
