Playing with a few more internation acts this past weekend. Heck of a show, loving the 3x setup.

You said that think ended up with a DG vs the glock right?
Did you change it or are you enjoying the DG?

No, it was ordered with and still is the 3 band Glockenklang. Still super happy with it, especially after my modifications to it!
All in all, a home run. At times I was enjoying listening so much, it led to mistakesYay!

LOL. Been there. Oh man, that sounds so good. Oh! I'm supposed to be playing along! Where am I?
Now I can't wait for 3-D printed older shells. I want a P-Tone and FDV.
Nice!Well.......this happened a couple days ago. I will be honest, the colour isn't my favorite (i prefer reds or natural wood)...but the ash body/wenge fb and maple neck just sounded SO amazing together. I played it and barely peeled it out of my hands to pay for it. Huge shout out to my great friend Dan C., from Long & McQuade in Markham Ontario Canada...he is the manager and also a bass player and stocks a few Dingwalls and other high end gear. I love the guy - but my wife??...mehhhh...she cries a bit when i say im going to visit him.
Back to 3 Dingwalls again in my stable - i've had quite a few brands come and go over the last year or so. My "go to" brands seem to be Dingwall and Spectors....i seem to gravitate to those the most. Not a bad thing at all.

Thanks man. (camera phone pics)...one day i will break out my good cameras and do a family portrait. CheersBeauty. I was wondering where that one would end up. Your pic really shows the gloss over the blue jean which I didn't get from the Dingwall photo I saw previously. Really nice.
Congrats.
Look at this custom strap made for me by our very own Dingwall Club Member AB Nate !!!

....but seriously an incredible strap! Serious talent there, AB Nate.I really like my SPJ5 with reverse P as well. FDV at the bridge sounds like just the tweak it needed. Is the FDV a direct order from Dingwall? I assume it's wired series? My bridge pickup is quieter when soloed so I suspect it's wired parallel. I'm going to change it to series and see if that doesn't add a bit more body.Added a couple of photos to my mini SPJ5 report.
Forgot to mention, this bass had a slight dead spot at the G string 5th fret. After the reverse P, bridge FDV change, for whatever reason it is 90% gone, all I have to do is pluck that note a little harder, and it sounds normal. It doesn't make sense to me, maybe somebody else can explain it. I didn't notice it move to another spot either.
My final conclusion regarding the SPJ5 is that as much as I love my SJ5XXX, I could easily live with this as my #1 (I know, heresy, right?). I haven't, and probably won't try a Ptone at the bridge since I do have the SJ5XXX, but if I wanted more bass tone and less growl, I could simply put it back to non-reverse P. But damn, that growl with the reverse P and FDV is so addicting!
The matching Dingwall ABHS bass highlights the blue in the strap, don't you think? Seriously, a VERY nice strap! I am just as proud of this strap as any of my bass gear.Showing off his new strap but secretly flaunting that Bergantino gear and Dingwall ABZ......I'm on to your antics, bebass.......but seriously an incredible strap! Serious talent there, AB Nate.
