The before pic, and the neck super fattie rewired to series. Simply connect green and black.

I rewired my neck super fattie to series. I liked it so much I did the same on the bridge super fattie as well.

Tone wise, rewiring the neck pup to series gets you a more aggressive, louder sound. It's a move towards the P tone. Not all the way P but a good chunk of it. The mod takes minutes and is easily reversed. Do the same to the bridge while you are in there.

It was a big improvement to the solo neck position.

And an improvement on the bridge solo'd as well.

I thought about adding a couple mini switches, but figured I'd never use the parallel settings, and I wanted to keep it simple.

When Dingwall came out with a P pup for the Super J 5's, I bought one and a new pickguard and made the change to PJ.

The P tone I have is the traditional looking two part P pup. The bodies are routed to accept either pup.
Switching pups and installing the new pickguard was simple, and less than an hour of work.

I had a Super JP four string and the P sound converted me to a P player.

You get the best of both worlds.

My NG2 Swirls and NG2 OTHER were pushed from October ETA to Feb 2018 ETA. That will be well over a year. These basses sure are popular right now. Sheldon should just go ahead and buy the Chinese factory producing these. Or at least 49%; my understanding is a Chinese person has to own the majority - or at least that is the way it was when I was in China.

I have given up on ever owning a factory fresh Dingwall. I have had a used Combustion and currently have a used Afterburner. They are wonderful basses, but between the cost and the wait time, I just can't pull the trigger on ordering one.

Find a dealer that already has one on order and that has been in the Que for a while. There are still some in-stock in the USA. I have an almost monthly order in which currently is multiple NG2's, incoming ABZ, Z, Super J, and D-Bird. And have an ABHS 5, a couple of Combustion 4's and a Combustion 5, and a couple of NG2 4s in stock. I will get to look at a purple D-bird incoming Friday or Monday but it goes right back out.

I was about ready to pull the trigger on another 5 string AB, but, after hearing that it is an 18 month wait, plus some self-reflection and realizing that my three ABs are already awesome, I abandoned the thought.

Sadly, nobody has the color and model combinations I want. Also, all the new Combustions currently have maple fretboards, which I do not like.

Yes, with a Combustion/NG2 Maple it is. I do like the maple but also like the Wenge on the Canadian models with the wenge/wenge being my favorite, except for some reason the Ash ABZ I like the Maple better. Hint, if you ever want a custom speced Canadian, rather than waiting the 18 months, call around to dealers to find what they already have on order. Sometimes, depending on where it is in the que, some dealers have speculative orders already in and may have already waited a year for it but it is not too late to change color and configuration. I just did that for someone and saved them 14 months wait time.

I currently have two Red NG2's in-stock and a White NG2 4 incoming for December. When I first ordered the Red NG2's I thought to myself that I just wouldn't like them as that is not usually a color I would buy for myself, but once I saw the first one I thought it downright Classy. I think it one of the neatest colors. I delivered a Red NG2 to a fellow in Kansas City, and when I took it out of the case to show him, he stood there holding it for a long time saying WOW over and over. I finally had to nudge him so I could leave.

You've got a bit more wear and tear on that than I do on my voodoo. You've put in some time. :) How's the back of the neck?
