Nah, that decal fell to pieces, it was old.
Seriously considered doing an inlay, I have everything on hand to route for one, except the experience.....I guess if I messed it up royally, I could fill it with wood filler and still do the applique....hmmm.....

The Markham store is the closest to you that will be able to help you out, they had a yellow NG2 and the same bright yellow but an ABZ or AB1 (2x Wenge) in stock last week which I was tempted by but I couldn't live with the colour.
The Saskatoon store and I think Vancouver store also stock them and may have a couple in right now.

Did a manager tell you that? I know that certain brands can only be ordered by certain stores but that seems pretty odd for a Canadian company, especially the second largest Canadian bass guitar manufacturer. I know Epifani, for example, had to be ordered through one specific store, maybe Markham, but any L&M could buy and sell any items another store currently had in stock. My UL2-310 was in stock at another L&M so my local brought it in without issue.

What kind of Dingwall are you after? There is always a handful on the walls at the local L&M, just call Saskatoon North.

That WAS a decal from Dingwall. They sent me a replacement "from that era", I didn't ask for a newer "modern" style. Sheldon warned me ahead of time that it might not work, I'm sure decal glue has a pretty short shelf life.
Pretty sure they clear coat over the newer ones, so if I got a newer one, I'm back to doing things outside my abilities again lol.

Did you ever consider using some spray adhesive to stick the older style decal down?

You could lay down some wax paper, spray the backside of the decal, and transfer it to the headstock with tweezers.

I think the 3D printed logo is cool, but I could see it getting knocked off or chipped/ cracked from handling.

I had my luthier handle it, and forwarded the step by step suggestions from Sheldon's tech. In the words of my luthier, "it fell completely apart", which is about what Sheldon warned could happen. I haven't heard definitively from the shop on this topic, but I'm sure there is a reason they have gone away from decals to screen printing and shooting clearcoat over the top of that.

I had the same thought about the applique getting chipped or broken. If it does, no great loss. I'll start practicing my skills doing inlay on scrap material......:D

I recently inquired about the possibility of getting a new decal. I want to get my Dingwall re-finished and the shop is too busy these days to offer refins. I had inquired about a few other things while I was contacting them. They responded to every one of my questions over two separate e-mails except the ones about getting a new decal. I took that as a "no." Maybe I just was not persistent enough...
