Dingwall Owners Club

Cool. If only Sheldon still made the short-lived hybrid treble control. That's what we did in the Rastaburst. On the front side of the 'notch' it is preamp treble boost. On the backside of the notch it's passive tone roll off. I generally live with it rolled off to varying degrees. With the Tonecapsule, Sheldon suggested I just may need to roll off a bit more from my amp...but given I'm backed out nearly all the way, we'll see. :p I may end up looking for a pedal that does this that I can just have at my feet.

The hybrid treble/tone control is one of my most used control on my Dingwall basses. I'd want it on any newly ordered bass.

This is why I love NAMM. Dingwall put out some of their most ridiculous basses. I just can't even right now. View attachment 2861336 View attachment 2861337

I'm suddenly in the mood for oreos..... drool
Yeah, I saw this pic - lovely. But the one that got me going was the Pelham Blue D-bird. I ordered two instantly and by golly, one of them is for ME!

Wow again. D Bird fever I have.
Fever, yes. My temperature rose to 104 instantly when I saw that pic!

In the comments of the D Bird pic they mention working on a 5 string version. Sign me up for one of those!
That will be very popular. I wonder what the neck profile will be. I bet we won't see them in 2018, but only Sheldon knows.

Oh-oh. Only one thing will save my checking account from this onslaught, lead time probably surpasses my life span :bawl:
Lead time is way out there on the Canadians, but find a dealer who speculates on orders and has several existing orders in already - when the time comes for the 5er. Although announcement of the 5-string D-bird is yet to be so yeah, it may be quite the time before it hits the streets. I want one stringed EADGC.

Are we going to see China made D-Birds at some point as well? I remember seeing that somewhere. If that's true, that's the bass I'm holding out for...4 or 5 string blue Combustion D-Bird.
