Yes, I was just curious if you had tried it as I have heard several comments of folks liking it a lot. I did try one of the distortions just to see what it did but my style of playing is clean and doesn't require that. I did also order myself one of the new alpha-omega ultras but anticipate using only in the studio for a couple of songs I have in mind and probably not live.

I did it in bits and pieces. I bought in with a Monique back in 2012 with one of the pre-orders of the first rackmounts. That had a discount associated with it and I used it with a Peavey IPR3000 power amp. Which made the setup while not a 'bargain' not horrible either.

Absolutely! Anybody who has ever played one will tell you that they love it. Count me as one of those.
I also have a 1966 Ampeg B-15N, which I am very fond of too. But my instrument cable is pretty much permanently stuck in the front of the Monique, and I don't find myself ever wanting to move it.

Yeah, lots of guys using Dave's cabs and Jule's preamp/amps. Embarrassingly, I forgot to plug my 15/6 in the other day (we also use IEM, so...) and just had my sub running. The sound engineer loved it, and at half my usual volume. ;)

Speaker Hardware has organized everything you need for one stop shopping. What used to be a scavenger hunt is now a neat package, and with various levels of DIY. Not a wood worker, no shop space or no tools? Pre joined flat pack cabinets. Crossovers sound like voodoo? Buy it pre assembled.

Or you can get a fEarless from an authorized builder and just open the box and plug it in.

Kind of a derail..sorry....I'm curious to the DINGWALL pedalboard users (assuming they're not a trade secret),....I have 3 Dingwalls...a PJ, a P and a custom ABZ. (All passive) Absolutely loving them (obv), I did find I was in need of a dirtier tone from time to time....so I ended up getting "brand X", for that dirt. The Dingwalls just play so much easier and nicer for my carpal tunnel.
Soooo...embarrassingly to admit...not sure why I hadn't.....but I JUST got into using some pedals. I am blown away by the change...I now have the ease of play..AND the dirty gritty tone. (I know, this is nothing new to you guys.lol) I ended up getting a Tech21 Sansamp, a Diamond bass compressor and an EHX Bass Soul Food pedal (with my old beat buddy)..... I "attempt" to play mostly rock/blues...
So...if you guys could limit the pedals to say 4 or 5 max...which are your MUST have's? And why?....I ask this speaking mostly to the Super Series PASSIVE guys...but open to replies. Thx :)

Dude, I could’ve hooked you up with a Diamond BCP-1. But I can still recommend a DSM OmniCabSim Deluxe. Great with passive basses. Pm’ing you.

For me that would be a compressor, octave, dirt, and EQ/tonal enhancement.

Comp: Keeley Bassist. Super simple to use and sounds fantastic
Octave: 3Leaf Octabrve Mini. It's an improved Boss OC-2. It does everything the OC-2 does, and more, better.
Dirt: Changes frequently. I've been running a Solidgoldfx Beta DLX for a while. It's got a lot of options and gives me two different sounds from one pedal.
EQ/Tonal Enhancement: Basswitch Sonic Spark. It gives me a killer phat reggae bass tone with the push of a button, which is a big change from my usual aggressive & growly tone I get.

The funny thing is ive never been a pedal guy myself. I play with a looping station(very poorly) just around the house a bit but only recently have I started GASSING.....

And a little bad to be honest.

I grabbed a diamond comp.

But just today as you posted this I was at an inventory sale........
It was bad. I walked away with 3 effects pedals and a compressor. I'm sure 1 pedal will go back for sure. But.....

I've just had the inclination lately to play with wierd sounds. A flanger, an echo thing, chorus and a phaser....

Does anybody here do much monkeying with that type of stuff and have some good recommendations?
