G&L L5000; I love the Z-Coil MFD. There have been some rumors of G&L planning a 5 string P bass, so it might be coming back. I think a more likely 5 string P would have a traditional P pickup (in line with the Legacy Bass and LB100). Either way, a 5 string P from G&L will almost certainly have wider string spacing than the L5000.
After the L5000, I would probably say American Made Peavey Basses. My favorites were the G Bass series and the American Millenniums... but really Peavey making an American bass at all is what I miss.

I am not a huge Fender fan, but I loved this bass. I knew two guys who owned them. Both sold them due to unstable necks requiring constant adjustment. As a result, I never pursued buying one.

Dean European Select. Basically a cousin to the Spector Euro line, made in the same factory in the early 2000's, I believe.
Peavey US-made Millennium line (5 Plus models shown). Just ridiculously good basses all around that often get confused for the identically-named import bass they currently offer.

Unfortunately, the last one I saw was going for over £11,000.
If they never reissue that model, I might consider going for one of the Chinese knock-offs, eventually. Though I'd much rather not.

The build quality on these was consistently high, especially for the pre-CNC era. The one on the right came to me in bad shape but only needed a bit of TLC from a decent tech to snap right back into great player territory. Ben Chafin has revived the Electra name and is making new models largely based off the old Electra and Westone models; he's based in Florida, but the parts say "Made in Korea." In any event, I'd like to give the new Electra models a chance.

How bizarre. I have two of them that I've had for years and they are rock solid stable.
Nordstrand basses, specifically the Nordy's would be at the top of my list:
guild b-301 is all that comes to mind for me.... i used to have one... what a cool bass! great bridge on there too.
