Ed, yeah, that was out of line. Even she owned up to it a few months later, that she did it to hurt me and make me twist in the breeze, because she knew that I was the type of person that would not walk out on my band. I don't even remember the rest of that gig...they said I played just fine, but that I said nothing, made no eye contact, loaded up and left...
Eddie, the house can be replaced, the dog sucks - but there's not much you can do about it if she's dead set on keeping him (a custody battle over a dog will be crazy, but it does happen...I don't recommend it...bad enough with kids, not really worth it for a dog, as much as I love my pets, if wife #2 and I were to ever split, she wants 'em, she can keep 'em...as for the kids I now have, well, I'm a stepdad, so that's that.).
As for listening habits, I recommend some Sepultura or maybe Slayer.

Being pissed is good...but I know that swings around a LOT in your situation...today you're pissed, tomorrow you'll be on your knees in tears in the shower (been there, done that, got the t-shirt man...

). Try to find a "center" quickly and STAY in it at all costs. Surround yourself with supportive friends - NOT guys that will talk trash about what a ******* **** your soon-to-be-ex is, but guys & girls that will just support you, positively.
I learned a lot from my divorce, I hope you don't learn it as painfully as I did, friend.
