Yeah, that really does suck. My divorce is nearly over, and let me tell you from experience, the advice about letting it go and moving on is right on. In my case, I was the one who filed right after our anniversary. After 11 years, I realized just how unhappy I really was. She wasn't a bad person, but we just couldn't get along and had constant arguments. I hope this wasn't your situation, the drain emotionally finally made me quit trying.
Just like you, she didn't see it coming. She promised the world, how she would change and do anything to make me stay. She hired a lawyer who has done little but suck way more money out of her than she is gaining by a getting a slightly little better deal than I offered. Not saying a lawyer isn't in order, but be careful. The more they make you fight each other, the more money they make.
Again, you might be best off to accept it and just get it over with. It sucks from both sides, but better things await you. You will learn things about yourself, some good, some not so good, but you will be a better person in the end.
And...do get a fill-in girlfriend!!! I say fill-in because you might want someone to talk to and nothing is better therapy than gettin' some strange.

Don't plan on a future with her, though, if she is really great it will work out, but absolutely do not jump into any commitment!
Think of it as an opportunity to have a new life where anything is possible. Seven months ago I had given up on nearly all my interests and was almost resigned to living a miserable life to preserve a marriage just for the respect of the institution. I finally decided to take my life back even though I knew I would probably lose everything. Now I've got a girl to date that absolutely knock my socks off, and if it doesn't work out, that's OK too. I'm happy again for the first time in years, and have a lot more self-respect.
Just make sure that you get a fair deal in all this and don't look back.
