Pictured here is "Nalle", formerly "Ronaldo". He's a ten year old re-housed Bichon Frise that's been with me since we moved from Norway some 5-6 years ago. He used to suffer from severe separation anxiety, but these days he's doing much better: all that remains of that now is a lingering tendency to stay around his favorite humans, no matter what they're doing. He seldom keeps to himself, instead preferring to keep an eye on me or my girlfriend at all times. He's a really, really, affectionate dog.

My Bichon Frise Roux, I am a cycling nerd and he is named after Anthony Roux who has just retired from a French Pro team.

As Wasabichicken mine has separation anxiety, but I bought him just as I retired and so he has been with me almost every moment of every day. I did a few long cycling trips a few years back and he stayed with a friend, when I got back he just barked at me and went to sit with my friend, he sulked for quite a while afterwards.

He hates my playing, he howls at my Tuba and gets up and walks out on my BG, as they say everyones a critic!

Checking out the BG - he just knows it is going to make a noise.

On my touring bike, he thinks this bike is his and demands to go with me if I so much as touch it.

I love dogs, but we’re out of the house so much and so busy with life, jobs, family, etc that I don’t think it would be fair to a dog to be alone so much.

So I’m an uncle/granddad to all of my neighbors’ dogs. I play with them, get them all spun up, and send them home so their parents can deal with them.

We have two dogs, two cats, and my oldest son took in my dad's red-eared slider after he his stroke.

First up is Charles. He was an American Staffordshire we rescued in February of this year. A week after getting him, we went to the vet, and he tested positive for heartworms. In April, we had to have him put down after he went into acute renal failure (complications from heartworm treatment). I can't look at his pictures without crying, but knowing that he spent 6 months at the shelter, I'll always be thankful that he spent the last 2 months of his life curled up on my couch with people that loved him.

This is Lulu. Another rescue, but we got her as a tiny little puppy. Pretty sure she's an Australian Cattle Dog mixed with some terrier. Whenever she feels she's not getting enough attention, she drops into her Battle Stance (front legs splayed, chest flat on the ground, butt in the air) and goes, "Woo-woo-wooo."

This is Dipper. He's a Beabull (beagle, English bulldog). We got him almost 2 years ago, and he turned us into dog people. Following some traumatic events, this dog became the focal point of our family, and now fully believes he's a person. He has about a dozen nicknames, including Budgie, McDoggers, and the latest, Monkey Man.

My mom bought into all the pit demonizing of the 80's, so warming up to them is a recent thing for me. I'm keeping my eyes open for another AmStaff. We had a meet & greet with a puppy (probably 8 months old), but Lulu hated him.
