Just curious. I have had an affinity to keep atleast one white bass in the arsenal over the years, and it is often the one I end up playing most. For whatever reason, I tend to put white pearloid on most of my instruments, it's a sickness I guess:).

My current favorite is the Stingray 5 in the pic, feel free to show yours.

Some probably find them bland, just curious where people stand on this one.

I like 'em. They pick up the stage lights colors.

Does my Explorer

count as "white"?

Definitely one of the cooler PG's I've seen on here .
A thunder bird on a Thunderbird .
Thanks! It's by a guy out of Turkey, alperious custom pickguards. He makes some pretty cool stuff. Being a child of the 90's, I've always thought of Zapdos when I thought thunderbird, so I just had to. It's made of wood, with powder coated stainless lacquered on top. You can see the wood grain in the closer pictures.

The only pic I had of my P-bass has that note on drilling a hole for the gold anodized pickguard. I love the white faded to cream look.

I'm waiting for someone to comment on the black pick guard screws! IDK, just seemed right for some reason :)
I would go with regular screws, attach a black finger grip and drill the holes for the pickup cover and add screws there too! Because that's how I roll! YMMV. Cheers!

I thought one of the coolest basses I ever saw was Tim Schmit's white custom Carvin, with only one control for volume and a slightly slimmer neck than stock. For a while, you could order them from Carvin. Although very low on my GAS list, if I could find one at a good price, I would probably buy it. BTW Tim Schmit, when he was with Poco, inspired me to move from a Hofner (don't start) Beatle bass to a Fender Jazz.
