My Jazz is named Amy (Winehouse).

I only have one bass, so beyond that:
  • My all-mahogany Duncan Africa acoustic is Emmylou (Harris)
  • My spruce-top Cort acoustic is LeAnne (Rimes)
  • My spruce-top little Martin is Lindi (Ortega)
  • And a cutaway spruce-top Cort acoustic that I use at church if if there's a rare need for me not to be on bass is Sam (Phillips)

Perhaps I have a thing for altos? Maybe it's because I'm a bass who also plays a bass.

I name mine either Bethany, after my wife who graciously puts up with me buying music stuff and playing bass, drums or whatever at stage volume into the wee hours of the morning, those are the keepers.

The ones that suck, give me no enjoyment or return any pleasure usually carry the name Scarlett cause they gotta go.
