Do you name your basses?

I can only imagine the holes are to make the bass lighter. Did it come like that or was that a mod you did?

I don’t name them per say, I call the blue one “The blue one”, and I call the Nordy “The Nordy”......

I usually call them names like (******* ************* son of a *****) when I play a bunch of clams, but that’s just blaming them for my own shortcomings.

Toothless- Aerodyne all black. My son named it that after the dragon. If you have younger kids you get it.
Maggie- My 99 Ibanez 3000e. Mahogany body. Hence the name I guess? I don’t remember. LOL

Once I make a connection after a few gigs a name usually presents itself. It’s kinda weird and lame but I have fun with it.

I don't name inanimate objects, whether they're cars, instruments, amps or other devices.

They're devices. They don't have names other than model numbers.

However, I can tell you the brand and model numbers of video equipment I used 35 years ago....

My basses are all named Dogmeat...But they never come when I call them.... Don't know why.

No, I do not. They're like cats; they don't come when I call them, so... why bother? I have been known to call this Gretsch Broadkaster names that I can't repeat here (it has...issues..), but, it has no official name...
