Do You Put Your Bass In Case Or Stand

I presume the main is not an active bass. I did this twice (slow learner type) until I realized leaving it plugged in quickly kills the batteries.
At home, my bass is almost always on it's stand, set up and ready to go.
If I'm out, I'll either take the stand, use my little Pub Prop (Pub Prop - soundshop.ie), or keep it in the case, depending on how busy a room is, the likelihood of drunks falling over it, etc.

It goes on with Velcro, so you need a furry cab or glue Velcro onto the cab.

I will usually leave one out for practice. In past times at the rough joint I play at, my bass was in my hands or in the case. My current bass has a nice gig bag, it does not protect as well when other guys are banging their cases around.
I like a wall hanger better than a stand.

The basses I regularly gig with are usually in a case, ready to go to for the next gig. I keep a franken-fender out on a stand to mess with and learn songs.

I just watched a video where Nathan East showed a tour of his house. When he got to the music room, I surprised to see all of his basses, including his white Yamaha, hanging on pegs on a wall.
I keep all of my basses in a case or bag and keep a case humidifier in it. If nothing else it keeps them safe from bumps and dust.

I've got two beaters that are on stands, and one on a shelf. All within reach when I practice. 2 Foundations, and an Epiphone T-bird. The t-bird is new and hasn't got a case yet.

Case is always better...unless the bass or its strap is still moist from playing. Putting away a moist instrument can really screw it up. I air my instruments out before casing them. After a gig, I pack the bass right away, but I air out the case overnight once I get home.
Nice! I thought it might be a Sire but didn’t see the bridge or pickguard on their inventory. I’m glad to hear you like it - I’ve been considering one myself.
Mine are all on stands in my rehearsal studio, except for the one that's in the living room propped up against the couch so I can pick it up and noodle while I'm in there socializing. Two are on wall hangers, and there are various floor stands around. Not all of the floor stands have instruments on them.
If i’m working on a setlist i leave a bass plugged in and sitting on a stand to remind me i have a deadline looming and should be working on that rather than looking for reasons to be doing something else.
