Do you use skin care products?

Yes.

I have to, otherwise my skin just goes weirdo.

I use PanOxyl 10%, which is probably the greatest thing ever created for faces.. It literally changed the way my skin looks. Also completely stopped my razor burn, which I had given up on trying to stop. Best part is that it's over the counter.

I also use Tretinoin 0.25% (overnight) and a light sunscreen/moisturizer.

My GF makes fun of for this, but, if I don't do it my skin is just an oily mess.

I couldn't find the 10%, most I saw over here was like 5.

When it comes to controlling minor acne, I've found that nothing works as good as this stuff you can buy at Dollar General called Zap Zit. It's in a blue box and costs like $1.50. Honestly, I've found it works better than the expensive stuff like Exposed Skin. Of course, everyone's skin's different. Just don't go overboard with it, because it will cause your face to flake if you use it too much (I'd suggest using it twice a week).

I wet shave with a DE safety-razor and I use shaving soap. For aftershave, I find that I do like alcohol-based products, even though most shaving enthusiasts recommend against them.

Slobake, I too had a bout with skin cancer and have a big scar on my face from it. So I now use sunscreen (or a moisturizer with sunscreen) whenever I leave the house and try to stay in the shade as much as possible.

Glad you pulled through and are taking care of yourself.

In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

I think I should start using hand lotion at least. I was in the ER a week and a half ago, and the nurse complained that I bent her 22 gauge needle with the skin on the back of my hand. Now, I'm pretty sure "bent" is too strong a word; I bet I didn't actually put a permanent kink in it. But the point is that the needle deflected instead of going in. She said I have the toughest skin of anyone she's ever seen, and this is a mill town. No wonder it hurt so bad.

Not that I would ever admit to...... OK, yeah back in my Army days I would get horrid ingrown hairs on my neck. One of my African American brothers in arms turned me on to a cream called Bump Stopper II. That was forty years ago and have had nary an ingrown hair since.

I hear you, I have had three patches of squamous cell cancer removed from my face and neck. I am more careful in the sun now.

I hope everyone in this forum has seen the movie A Mighty Wind. It's basically the folk version of Spinal Tap. The bass player from the Folksmen (Harry Shearer) is very into his skin care products and it leads to an interesting conclusion...
