Dodged a bullet on this one...

That singer...ouch. I'm betting that she keeps her gig because she can get the crowd amped up, but a music stand onstage in front of her?

Getting drunk the night before a morning meeting wasn't a great idea but thankfully you learned this lesson on a band that doesn't seem to have much potential (judging from that one YouTube clip). Better be on point when a better band comes calling! :)

I skipped through the video. It's unlistenable.

Mate, let me spare you future trouble. NEVER consider more than a few songs for a first meet. You want an out, especially if there are already massive red flags such as no recordings to present to you. Also no band worth joining would welcome a bassist to audition without any proof in advance that you can actually play, and if you can prove that in advance then you needn't waste time on 20 songs just to find out you don't all "click" or that they, as is clearly the case here, can't play well enough.

Anyone with the nerve to pull that repeated cancelling #### and then ask you to learn a different 20 songs should be told loudly and clearly to go #### themselves very hard. This provides two benefits - it may teach them a valuable and necessary lesson and most importantly it will free you up for opportunities to audition for real bands who can rock real crowds.

Also be very careful about associating yourself with people who play AC/DC on guitars with pointy headstocks.

Best of luck to you.

If you're going to get a lesson in what NOT to do (go out drinking the night before an audition), it's nice to get it when there isn't anything at stake (the band's not worth joining).
You just learned a valuable life lesson without having to give up anything! Win!

There's a second lesson in there, too: if a band needs three or more tries to schedule a rehearsal, they'll probably sound unrehearsed on stage.

That story is a lot like my first encounter with a cover band. Rather then delay practice they kept changing the keys they played the songs in but failed to tell me what key I should learn them or offered me any recordings to do so. So they too replace we with another bass player who made their job of being lazy easier.

That female singer in the band is sub par.

Trying to get an original punk band off the ground currently.

Is the live music scene that bad in Serbia that crowds actually stay and get into a band with that bad of a singer?
Around here the polite people would leave and the drunk not so polite people would be heckling and throwing things.
We have rough crowds.
Depends in which part of Serbia you are, really. Here in Novi Sad, we have some very accepting and tolerant people who go to these shows. And trust me, there are so many good bands and musicians here :) I usually listen to jazz live at a jazz club, or some good cover bands, but we have a horrible originals punk scene, IMHO (still, I'm only talking about my city).
Thanks for mentioning that- maybe the music doesn't translate well into Cyrillic?
We have two alphabets, actually, cyrilic and latin. We use latin in large majority, computer use for example. Here is a little demonstration: I'll write the word "black cat crosses the road" in both types.
Crna mačka prelazi put.
Црна мачка прелази пут.

Dear God in heaven, where do I begin??? She's a pretty girl. She's willing to get up there with a mic and bounce around. She is unwilling to sing on key. The guitarist on the left is deer-in the headlights. The guitarist on the right is just weird. The bass player looks embarassed, and I can't see the drummer because aforementioned chick is covering him up with her BINDER FULL OF LYRICS! Nothing looks WORSE on a stage than a BINDER ON A MUSICSTAND! God! Get an iPad and set it off to the side and set it to scroll for crying out loud if you NEED the lyrics! But putting a giant black block in front of your band is just really awful looking.

Yeah, she's plenty cute to look at, but her voice needs to go away. If she needs a binder, so it goes, but it could be lower, off to the side, or whatever. If the audience is farther in the tank than the band, then I suppose things are even.
