You can even trim your nose hair with that. I have a similar setup and it works great.

Yes...just cut it this morning:
I use an Andis electric clipper I bought many years ago. I do the back and sides with no attachment, then shape up the top with the #0 attachment. It ain't perfect, but then again, I'm a very casual guy, and a precise cut wouldn't match my personality at all. There's no reason for me to pay someone to do this, but I can see why others go to a barber.
EDIT: I use a Wahl "Peanut" trimmer for the edges.

save money on a haircut ? its like what? $15 or so every now and then, you would spend that and more on a set of RW bass strings and never give it a second thought but its too much to spend to look good
Off and on. In the late spring/early summer I liked the buzzed look. But not too short. Then I'll go through a few months where I like a slightly more conservative look, like right now. I expect I'll wear a more conservative cut for a few months. Don't know why, but I just go in cycles like this.
I braided mine in about a 10 inch long braid and let my wife snip it off. I stapled it to the back of a ball cap to wear later in life. Just in case I go bald. I actually have it somewhere in a drawer. Haven't had a haircut since. That was 15 years ago. The song "almost cut my hair " comes to mind.
I do the buzz cut too. Use a Wahl with a 1/16" guard. Haven't seen this one listed. I like this better than the traditional #1 (1/8"). I used to do a fade with the 1/16" up to the crown, then a #1 or #2 on top. With less on top, now I just go with the 1/16".
My mom took classes on how to cut hair when my brother was born. Me, brother, and Dad all got the "over the ears, part down the side" while coming up. Saved Mom and Dad a boat load of money.

I sat in a barber chair once and the barber said "what kinda cut are we doing today? "I said "cut one sideburn off, leave the other long " . Above the left ear and hanging down over the right "."cut my bangs crooked and gaps on the back of my head " he replied, "are you crazy? "I can't cut your hair like that! " I said "why not? That's how you cut it last time!

As a child, my mother always used to cut my hair. As a teenager I would cut my own and in my twenties and thirties my brother would cut my hair since he's a hair stylist. Nowadays whenever my wife goes down to get her hair done, I sneak in for a quick trim and the lady charges me 20 bucks while my wife is sitting there with stuff in her hair.

I go from being a respectable pillar of society to a scraggly, creepy old guy during that time, and then the cycle starts over again. They only cut the sides and front, since I grew a natural skin yarmulke on my own starting at about 19 years old. It's perfected now. My hair could pass for Friar Tuck.

I have no idea how you guys manage to cut your own hair. I tried it once. I was going for the bald look but daughter #1 said do a 'hawk but the back was so ridiculous, kind of like that Calvin and Hobbes cartoon, I went to a barber to have it shaped. I remember it just like it was last week. It was last week.
A lot of it depends on the type of hair you have, the kind of cut you want, and how often you need it cut.
I need my hair cut at least every two weeks, and I can give myself the kind of cut I want without paying a barber to do it, saving me at least $30 or so a month, which ain't chump change, or at least not to me.
I hear the guy in Blur got his head shaved by a jumbo jet.
Used to cut my hair myself in the Army. Scissors and feel, hardly any mirror at all. Actually got to be very good at it. Haven't found a barber in this town in 5 years. The worst.
