That was my situation too--I didn't want the hassle of trying to flip the stuff, and I can't afford to buy myself another bass, even at an insane deal price. Fortunately I realized they had something I needed for my business, which I can write off.
I feel alone that I'm the only one who ordered a 5'ver..
I did too, but alas it got canceled.

An EBMM product would have been especially nice; my reality is that I was laid off at the beginning of June. I am thankful for the amp, I've been running a little Bag End stack with my Baby Blue II (which sounds great within its volume range...).

My GK cab came with a nickel sized tolex ding , thankfully your head survived fine!
I actually filed a UPS claim for partial refund because although I got a great deal they put a ding in it they should fix it.
how much did you score that for? those are sweet heads
An MB500 may have been more practical for me but they were out; however, this dense-pak of an amp sure has some muscles... And it is lighter than my Peavey Mark VI!

i just got a used GK 800RB for 265$ but thats before I knew of this deal.
haha I upgraded from a Mark IV last year , those heads are huge , I dont know how much mine weighed at least 25 pounds, huge head.

Silly Longhorn is out for delivery.
It came, and it's the biggest piece of crap I've ever seen in over forty years of working on instruments, utter garbage. I wasn't expecting much, but I was truly shocked.silly bongolation is rolling his eyes at himself
I just read your thread sorry about that , I have always thought about getting one but the cheesy look steered me away.
I hopr you get a better one next time around, from the sounds of it you cant get one much worse.
Oh and you should do the review for GC on the Dano and see if you get $5

Stingray, Longhorn, POG2 and a set of strings: $640. The Longhorn is basically a toy, but kinda fun. Will probably get flipped soon. The Stingray is great. I never owned one before and never really thought I wanted one, but I'm really digging it so far. The POG2 is a cool box. The music I usually play doesn't provide much opportunity to use the sounds it makes, but it's a lot of fun to mess around with. All in all, a pretty successful haul!
I am very pleased indeed that the Great Guitar Center Scam of the Century ended with Much Success!
Musicman Boys, in my opinion you worked the system and not only do you deserve those instruments, you earned them! More Power to You!
As for me, I did what I could with what little funds I had in my account at the time.
I didn't buy a bass, because I actually have a new Musicman Big Al5 SSS being built for me as I patiently wait. And as much as it pains me after taking part in this heist, I actually bought that one legit, and it wasnt cheap...$2030 But I know that it will be totally worth it because Musicman is The bass manufacturer as far as I'm concerned!
I ended up buying a Hagstrom Viking IIP Semi Hollowbody Electric Guitar for $65 (retail $475)!
On Top of that I bought an Acoustic AG60 Acoustic Guitar Amp, and although at the time I thought it was an electric guitar amp that just happened to be made by the Acoustic Brand, it actually turned out to be quite the cool little amp! It has 2 channels with 4 available instrument/mic inputs, a bunch of built in effects to and with shipping included it cost me a whopping $15! (retail $350)
I've got a pretty decent rig, but the only problem is that it's a big heavy Ampeg 410 HLF, so I just leave it at my drummers house. I have a little tiny practice amp..but it's a wretched little Fender 15w...
Well Not Any More! For the steep price of $15 I purchased a 15 inch speaker, 200watt Acoustic B200 amplifier! (retail $350)
So there you go, for $95 I bought a little Acoustic Stack and an electric guitar!

I picked up the same AG60...for the same price
...awesome.I'm gonna add them as a friend on facebook...you know as a peace offering.
What's really sad is that I've got a bunch of new stuff and everytime I see somebody post what they got, it makes me wish I'd chosen different things. Said it before...GAS you are a dirty whore.

I just added this up... Subtotal: $2,531.98 (before tax). Damn. I cannot believe I didn't check this out. I was actually a few hours late after the glitch was fixed. The TB community needs an emergency deal line, where I'm called anywhere in the world at anytime of the day.
