Actually, my guns are either conventional or HVLP compliant, neither of them are true HVLP guns, and I don't really recommend HVLP for guitar finishing. They just use so much air and and do not atomize as well as conventional. That compressor would do ok with a conventional gun, and will be perfect for LVLP.
As far as that compressor goes, it is oil lubricated which is a big plus, but I would prefer that it had a separate pump and motor.
These are the two guns I spray with, both need about 28-35 psi at the tip, so neither are low pressure guns
