Loud Metal Band Is Looking for 5 string Bassist and Strong Vocalist that can sing and scream with the flow of the song. We the music written for a few songs and we need a vocalist to completely bring them to life. We are looking for a vocalist that has there own style so there fore I dont care what you listen to I want the singer to have there own style as long as it can relate to metal. For the Bass we play a lot of 7 string therefore a 5 string is a must. One last thing be over 21.

So yeah, if they play 7 strings, obviously you have to play a 5-string bass. It's a must.![]()
Well that's still better than a folk band with a 12-string acoustic guitar requiring an acoustic bass with 10 strings!

What these kids are saying, is, "Hey--we play lots of low riffage (on our 7 strings) so your bass oughta go as low as it can.........."
Thus, the Five string request.
I understand it, in theory.
In reality, of course, it only takes you down a Fourth. But I will say an F#, for instance, on the low B string will sound "Fatter" than the same note on the E string.
Not 'smooth'...'smoooth'. It's better.I'm gonna start telling people I have the smooth controlled lowest bass sound.![]()
