Dump your Cell phone

Speak for yourself. Some people like to be able to talk to their wives or children without having to find a pay phone or wait until they get home.

In your car while driving... right?

There's a lot of money to be saved in the convenience rather than running around like it's 1985. Technology is not the devil. Conspiracy theorists are.

Not all Conspiracies are theories... This one is proven to be true... it's no longer a Theory.

AT&T is being sued for allowing the government to use surveillance software that alerts the government when certain phrases are spoken into a phone. You can test this theory out by calling your buddy and say, "I have a bomb and they are all going to die." and hang up. Expect to see a couple FBI agents at your door step within an hour.

I use my phone a lot for work, I'm currently responsible for a few labs and I can be in any of a number of labs or offices during the day.
My girlfriend moves about between 3 different cities right now for her work.
I keep in reasonably good contact with my family and friends, most of which live in other parts of the country.

I pay £10 a month and get unlimited calls and texts. With the amount I use my phone, it's cheaper than using the landline. (the only reason I have a landline is because it came with my internet package).

So, yeah, not going to dump my mobile any time soon bud.

I'm sure it's already been posted in this thread, but still:

By the way, Hooker. You're wrong about cel phone protocol in TS meetings. Just an FYI.

But thanks for the entertaining thread!

You do know that software like that can be used to monitor any electronic communication, right?

Hey now, don't tip off the luddites to the fact that EVERY TV show can be watched for free online, if they all quit footing the bill for cable some of my shows might stop being made. :D

Over here anyway, only a few of the streaming sites (BBC iPlayer for instance) are legal :p.

Not to mention the TV uses less electricity than the PC and it's easier to sit infront of :D

my TV is my computer monitor (32" HDTV + laptop on coffee table), and every single show I watch is available online directly from the network... although I may or may not torrent my tv shows in HD for simplicity.
