Just make sure both cabs are 8ohm, I believe most of the Wizzys out there are 4ohm cabs.

About a month ago, in an email to (I asked several things) John Dong, I asked if they were going to introduce the 1000 around that show..... John responded to several other questions but that one went unanswered. Guess we'll just have to wait and see.

I don't think the guys at EA have made it to a NAMM show in quite some time. I could be mistaken though.

National trade shows can be extraordinarily expensive to exhibit at. Between the booth cost (thousands$$$$), product shipping, airfare, hotels, on-site cartage, carpeting(!), cleaning, Union electricians and helpers, meals, entertainment, booth staffing, ground transportation and a hundred other little things...... it's almost impossible for a small manufacturer with a reasonable product profit margin to do. Co-op booths, with multiple non-competing manufacturers, is possible but that "waters down" your brands individual identity. It's a tough game and a manufacturer has to make tough decisions where and how to spend their limited monies...... because of that these trade shows aren't what they were a decade or two ago. Ken

With all the chat about the new EA amps I thought that some of you, who haven't had the pleasure of checking these out in person, might like seeing the oldest. Check out the serial numbers between the fans, as old as EA amps get. These fire-up 2-VL208's & 2-VL110's and sound incredible.

Last I heard they were going to stop making the pro and were coming out with a new high power amp. I don't know the details though.

EA is supposedly coming out with the iAmp Classic to replace the Pro. It was supposed to be released last fall from what I understood, but chatter about it died off. Hence me bumping this thread.

I love my iAmp 500/Wizzy 12. That rig is perfect for everything i do including quiet practice because no fan, bonus!! I don't know how to tell if its the class D or Ashdown model. I'm thinking about getting a second Wizzy 12.

I'm the one who posted the pic of the Classic prototype earlier in this thread, Larry/EA sent it to me when i asked about the new amp, and i posted it with his permission. I've asked several times for pics of the back and more info, but no response from anyone at EA. Guess it is still not ready for prime time...

edit: mine is the black class D version. Thx hifibass
