FedEx had the correct box for $12. Good advice!
thats awesome. The last time I had to get a box from the UPS store here in Town they charged me 29.00 and told me they had to pack it UPS would honor a claim. I’ve never gone back after that.
I guarantee UPS' packing job is far worse than mine. I really hate that policy.
Prepped before putting in case. Add inserts to reinforce sides. Cushion base and head. Bubble wrap for side protection. all that and I’m still terrified.
That’s hilarious!!
Dude, you're right up the road from me!
I currently have three basses and one guitar listed for sale in the classified. If more than two sell, I'll shoot you a message. Fingers crossed!
What are you letting go, Jeff?
Thanks for asking!
A Vantage VP795B that I bought when Pete Skjold cleared out some old personal axes - I played a Vantage for years as my main bass and it spoke to me when I saw it. Unfortunately, I don't actually need it or play it. Ever.
A Vantage VS600 electric guitar that looks exactly like one my garage band guitarist owned back in the early 80s. Nostalgia purchase.
My Skjold Firedrake. Great instrument. I don't actually like the finish. At all. I play it all the time at home. I write music on it. But I don't see myself playing it onstage. It has more value to me as cash right now, as we're trying to get the house paid off this year.
Finally - my Fender Aerodyne Precision PJ. The bass that has done almost all the electric work for the past several years. Love this bass, but it's not serving my new approach to 5 string, 33" scale instruments.
They all come with gig bags. The Fender comes with a tweed G&G case. There are links in my sig!
A company called ULINE. uline.com. Bass box, S-18000. 18x7x52. Hope this helpsAnyone in Knoxville area have a bass shipping carton? Know where I can get one. Every time I've tried at Guitar Center they were no help.
Is Asheville an option?
An Asheville friend of mine has an amp tech he swears by. I’ll get the information for you. I’ve heard he does amazing work.Yes. I have a friend who drives back and forth from there about every 2-3 weeks.
