But the Seller (who now eBay has disabled) is in California and I live in North Carolina, 400 miles away. Plus the tracking shows it as shipped originally from Amazon. Stolen or fabricated tracking number.

One being shipped from New Jersey USPS. No tracking number.
Another not shipped yet. Each one was $19.07 including tax.

It would be helpful if posters would specify which seller they ordered from when posting updates on their orders.
Two sellers are now being shown as No Longer Registered. Apparently eBay has suspended their accounts.
They are daco5259 and richa_730298 who, according to @CatchaCuda, also had some listed at ultra-low prices.
So far no status change for robhe8875 who was the first seller to list these at prices under $20. The plot thickens!

I'm curious if any of the Robhe8875 buyers with New Jersey ship point have received any tracking numbers yet or just shown on ebay as shipped. I haven't got tracking number yet.
Mine are from robhe. I found the short lived richa_730298 listings when robhe had no listings, during that change from CN to NJ locations.
I'm not advocating, nor criticizing owning one of these, but i'm curious what you see wrong with buying a $17 bass? What is the right $ amount for you that a purchase of a bass is justified? (please don't take this as a personal attack, this goes for everyone criticizing these). I'm honestly curious. Is buying a $17 bass, for whatever purpose - sitting at home on the back porch, all the way to gigging live, any worse than buying a $300 bass? what about a $3000 bass? What about a $6000 bass? There aren't always guarantees on what you're getting for spending more money. I'm just curious where the line stands?
IMO, someone spending $17 on a bass knows what they are about to receive, and what they are going to use it for. But who cares?
On the other hand, what about the person buying the $3000 bass and sitting at home, or even gigging, once a month, making $300 as a band? (so take home is $100 or less). (Again, who cares?)
Shouldn't they (we) receive the same criticism? Yet we seem to praise the expensive instrument purchases (I get jealous sometimes of those pretty dingwalls).
This is just a question, not in any way an attack on anyone, buying a $17 dollar bass, nor a $6000 bass.

or at least still in China. If a legit tracking number then eventually the tracking will show arrived in the USA. Of course I had a tracking number from daco5259 and we now know he's a scam. So the tracking number does not prove whose tracking number it is. Will only know this one's legit if someone actually gets a real instrument.

No. Daco's tracking numbers are just as legitimate. His (of course they could be a women) mistake was giving ones that were to be delivered today. Robhe's from China could take another month before showing delivered, and that is delivered not to the purchaser if they are a scam as well. Robhe, simply bought more time.

I was buying to give away to someone starting to play after making it playable which I expect is needed. I'll often buy cheap off-brand basses & guitars from LetGo, Facebook marketplace or pawn shops for the same purpose. I have kids from my Autism support group that want to learn to play an instrument. Some will give up quickly (not because of the instrument) and some will stay with long enough its worth upgrading.
As for other people, I hate on here and other forums, when people criticize others for buying cheap or expensive instruments. I know people that a set of bass strings is a major investment. A used Stagg precision copy for $75 was all they can afford. Others put down people that post about that $3000 Warwick. I own 9 basses from $100 to $2000. I do not rate any by price. That each serve a different purpose musically.
If an instrument is what you can afford and you can make music (or noise for some people
) I don't understand what there is critize.
FWIW, I can't edit the poll, as that option passed about an hour after I published it.

and eBay already disabled his account. I'm here to see if anyone actually receives an instrument (I still have one coming from New Jersey supposedly) Not just has a tracking number. We have already learned in this thread about daco5259 that I now need to request a Refund.
Even more curious, if one is not interested in the type of instrument in the thread title,why click on it? And then, why take the time to post a useless comment about said instrument? I've never even held a Fodera, should I go post a review of one in the Fodera club thread?
