EBMM Short Scale Stingray Club

I love that red color... just would swap out the pickguard. It didn't make sense to me that it was the last color to sell out from the last build.
No matter what else I play, my EBMM is always my favorite.
No, this was one of the limited stock on that color. Which I believe is 25 worldwide.
I tried two different pickguards, one black and the other tort. I kept the tort on it cause I like the aesthetic.
Yeah… I like both of them better than the gold. Maybe a clear one too…

Looks better than on their website. The pick guard kind of looked yellow on there. It is a beauty!!
Thanks! It would have been even better if it was anodized aluminum. I may have left it on. But it's 4 ply gold, black and white celluloid. It looks okay but the tort and black are more my thing with candy red.
They are such comfortable basses to play and the neck is the best I’ve ever played. And of course, they sound amazing.
/\ This. Also, the fit, finishing, range of tones and quality materials really make these worthwhile. And the roasted neck keeps things stable. Rarely have to re-tune except when temperature changes. I had questioned the pricing before I bought it. But now that I've had it for a while I understand why. And customer service is fantastic.

What would take the cake for me is if you did the white pearloid on it. I bought the silver shadow one and then asked Ernie Ball if I could buy a pearloid one for it. They actually sent me one free. I think it looks really good on mine (as does my black that was stock). I think it would look killer classic on yours.
Put La Bella 760FL-S Deep Talkin' Bass Flats - .043-.104 Light, Short Scale on the Sterling. The EBMM remains with GHS balanced nickels, medium gauge.
They still need some breaking in, but sound great! Now I have one shorty with rounds and another with flats. First World problems!

Loving my new Starry Night. Fells and sounds so good with TI Flats. This color looks so amazing in person. Not at all gray. But that sparkling deep purple fade into midnight/ sapphire blue that really does look like a beautiful night sky.
I just ordered some chrome flats, going to see how I like the flats on this bass and then get some Tis. I've loved this short scale so far, I had a Waltplower II before, but it just seemed too floppy, even after a string change.
Common wisdom for rounds is either Stringjoy or GHS Balanced tension. Flats differ so much from brand to brand it really is a matter of taste.
