Quite a nice looking bunch you got there. I love the look of the fretless... that flame

Yeah, that fretless was what got me started with the SR Specials. It's a joy to play, even though I'm new to fretless so I won't be gigging with that for a long time until I develop a better ear and feel for an unlined fretless.

Any Stingray 5 Special owner here that also owns a Bongo 5 can tell me how the neck profile on both compare?
Posted it here:

The Bongo 5 feels slimmer than the StingRay 5 front to back, but I switch between them easily and barely notice a difference. The nut and fretboard dimensions are the same, save for the additional frets on the Bongo.

Hello fellow specialists. I've never even played a Music man bass before in my life but after reading through this entire thread I decided to order one and see what happens. Where I live there's just no option to try one in a store right now. Out of the box experience was great because after measuring everything it basically came delivered set up the way I always start out with any bass. Sounds really great, plays really well. I really like the neck, it was super comfortable for the 5 hours I tested it out. I definitely gravitate towards position 2 and 4 on the gear-shifter, kept the pre-amp flat so far. This is the first bass I've ever owned that isn't either black or white, I really like how the sparkle color changes depending on the lighting. I guess sometimes it's good to try something new and I want to thank all the people who contributed to this thread with lots of useful information. Without all of that it would've been a lot harder to make up my mind. Here's a picture of my new favorite bass.
