Scored a stingray special with a SLO neck in orange crush finish! (1 of 5)
The neck is super comfortable and the finish is to die for. I never really cared for sparkle finishes, but this orange... Wow!
This is definitely the best playing and looking bass I have owned. (And I have been through many)

That should look nice!My 4HH is in dropped copper as well. I should receive a new pick guard I ordered this next week. It is in a black sparkle, I think it will complement nicely![]()

Posted it here:Any Stingray 5 Special owner here that also owns a Bongo 5 can tell me how the neck profile on both compare?
The Bongo 5 feels slimmer than the StingRay 5 front to back, but I switch between them easily and barely notice a difference. The nut and fretboard dimensions are the same, save for the additional frets on the Bongo.
I have both. I prefer the special because the neck isn't painted. While the painted neck looks great it feels a little sticky to me.Any Stingray 5 Special owner here that also owns a Bongo 5 can tell me how the neck profile on both compare?
If I was going to go purple on a bass, that would be the color!Anyone seen any of the new Vault basses? This "plumpkin" colour shift finish is very cool. Stingray 4 - Plumpkin - Rosewood Fretboard
