I've had my Grace Felix for over 5 years now. I have no regrets. It was expensive but their warranty service is excellent.

There's several things to factor in to the cost of the Grace Design's Felix. It doesn't require a "wall wart" for it's AC power, it's plug and play. Grace has a 5 Year Transferable Warranty, so if you wish to sell it within 5 years the warranty moves with
the owner. Grace is located in Colorado. There are no Vat charges for shipping. So if you're in the U.S. and Canada (?) it's less expensive to get repaired (granted this is a mote point, if you live outside North America) It boutique piece of gear that
some folks just cannot afford. We rarely see the Grace Felix for sale used in the U.S.
There have been two here on Talkbass that I can remember.
Looks like list is US$500. It can afford to give away a few features to the Felix at that price. The Felix list is $1075.
Interesting that you're able to use the two channels in series so you can get two mid frequencies and an hpf and notch filter

That way I can mount the Felix or Headway on a microphone stand, which puts the controls right at your fingertips.
Well, you’re right, it does make for a smaller device. If I used a pedal board, it would be a plus, call me weird but I’m a minimalist, which bucks current thinking. I have a Headway EDB-2, but as long as I don’t use a microphone, it will run on batteries. That way I can mount the Felix or Headway on a microphone stand, which puts the controls right at your fingertips. Just my preference.

How do you do that? Do you use some kind of conversion kit?
The EDB-2 has a microphone mounting hole in the back of the box. You just put it on the stand. I do have a little camera joint that let's me angle it. I
don't know if the new Headway EDB-2 H.E. has that hole or not. The Grace Felix has screw holes on the underside to mount a microphone holder.
Yeah I totally get it. I’m always looking for ways to minimize cause most of my playing is 20ish piece big bands and small stages. Space is at a premium.
I’m in a transitional phase right now cause I just picked up a Remic 5400LB so I’m re-evaluating my setup as I move from the Realist/Tone Dexter to the Remic.
always in a state of flux... and I’m always open to suggestion.
