I just followed your Digikey link and the spec sheet link was there. I’m always looking for more robust switches for my DIY builds and have had mostly decent results with C&K pieces, although there’s one smaller one I would definitely avoid. Researching this stuff can be a real time suck, happy to help a little.Thats it...thanks...
Yes is can be a time suck! Only other thing im concerned about is the fan on the Eden Metro (which works fine btw)...Early Eden seem like great build quality and i like the sound....seems i would need to spend a lot to get much better.I just followed your Digikey link and the spec sheet link was there. Yea....even with the Metro in my home built head cab, its heavy and bulky...i'll likely drag around the old GK-800RB instead...Metro stays with the 8x10 at home lol!Better is hard to find.
Lighter isn‘t![]()
Way cool! The Rocco Prestia custom cab. Hell of a player. Sad to hear about his passing.Nav,
correct, nothing better
I got three I think, I have to check.
At least one regular NAV WP100, a powered NAV WTX1000 and the latest model WTP Pre, which I use all the time.

GC may still have the D210XST in the back. They played it. I played it. It didn't sound right. It's possible that some wires may have been touching the cone. We put the speakers back in carefully.Cabs,
the D210XST shouldn't sound bad, it doesn't matter what year.
Did you put it back together and still sounds like that?
Did you check if maybe the wires touched the woofers from the back? That creates the sound/noise you described.
Dan gave you a great inside (as usual, I love his answers, while I keep mine short)
Tweeter, I think I lost track. I need to dig up that information.
There were all kinds. Metal, plastic, different color cones.
At the end there are only really two different kinds, because there are two kind of diaphragms that I have in stock to replace them if necessary.
Between them no big difference I could hear or measured.
I really do like the build of the Eden speakers. Granted, the may be "old school" and heavy but I'm a sucker for old school, I guess.Yes, congratz.
I would definitely recone the Edens.
This combo sounds great believe me.
Yes the DNA speakers are at least as well built or better the Eden speakers (I'm on the DNA Endorsing Artist Roster). The same guy, David Nordschow, designed both the Eden speakers and the DNA speakers. His new speakers have a larger voice coil and longer throw (higher Xmax rating) than the speakers he designed at Eden. His newer DNA cabs are lighter than his Eden XLT and XST designs. Still not super light, but my DNS-410 weighs 79-lbs instead of the 95 to 98-lbs. of the D410XST or D410XLT, and 20-lbs lighter helps. My DNS-210 weighs 52-lbs. as opposed to the 59-lb XST or 68-lb. XLT. Again not really light but lighter than his previous designs.I really do like the build of the Eden speakers. Granted, the may be "old school" and heavy but I'm a sucker for old school, I guess.
Are the DNA speaker of similar build quality? I haven't seen any pics. It would be interesting to compare.
I also noticed you are a Lakland fella. I had a 2005 Lakland Skyline 55-02 ( came with Bart pups and electronics ). I love the tone and playability but it was sooo heavy. I do still have a 2007 Lakland Skyline Daryl Jones 4 string. I put Barts in it. Makes it a bit darker sounding. I have found some very nice Ibanez 5 strings that I play mostly these days. A Japanese built 2003 Ibanez BTB515 ( it's lighter than the Lakland a bit ) and a 2017 Ibanez BTB845. First neck-thru I've own and it's even lighter than the BTB515. I'm sure the USA made Laklands are much better. However, I can't swing the price new or used for those, so I find my "bargains" where I can.
You probably already said this but is the DNS-210 the most similar to the Eden D210XST or the Eden D210XLT?Yes the DNA speakers are at least as well built or better the Eden speakers (I'm on the DNA Endorsing Artist Roster). It has a very flat frequency response like the D210 XST. I dial in a little boost around 250Hz to get a sound similar to the D210XLT. It handles more power than the D210XST and is clearer and more articulate if you can imagine that. The Eden D210XST is very clean and articulate, but the DNS-210 is more so. The D210XST will handle 500-watts rms and the DNS-210 will handle 700-watts rms. Plus, the DNS-210 besides being clear and articulate with a really tight bottom end, is really a LOUD cab (max SPL=134db).You probably already said this but is the DNS-210 the most similar to the Eden D210XST or the Eden D210XLT?
Since the Eden D210XLT is still made, the speakers are available from Eden. If your Eden D210XLT is a 4 ohm cab, it uses two of the Eden number SPKR-7002, which are 8 ohm speakers wired in parallel to produce an 4 ohm cabinet. If it is an 8 ohm cab it should use the Eden number SPKR-7001, which 4 ohm speakers wired in series to produce an 8 ohm cabinet.I'd wager to say that the BP102s are absolutely the wrong speakers for that cabinet, and that GC just went with "cheap and on-hand". I wouldn't accept such garbage from them and I wouldn't reward them for crappy support by throwing more money at them.
The correct resolution is for the original Eden speakers to be re-coned and accept no substitutes.
