There is no way even a made in china version would work with a 199 street price. There're just too many components and too many things that cost money in there.

Line out of the Eden ot the instrument in ofr the MB., Set the pad ON, on the MB. Bring the volume up SLOWLY ...
You can also run line out of the Nav into the effects return of the MB (assuming if has an effects loop of course).
Depending on the various unit's involved, one technique may sound better and / or be lower noise than the other. No rule there, I've seen it go both ways.
If I recall correctly, the description mentiond the footswitch and cable...

well.....decided to go ahead and order one.
I called in and requested the preamp with the $30 coupon, and was told that it was a missprint and they could not honor the $199 price....the agent i spoke to told me this after speaking to his supervisor about applying the coupon.

just called and got shut down. They're now calling it a misprint and stated that they will not be honoring the previous sales.
The MF website still shows the $199 price, on my browser anyway. I refreshed the page. What if you order online? Will it go through?

Hmmm... Should be interesting. I jumped on the train @ 169. The link still opens in explorer at 199, but is now 699 using chrome. If it was an error it makes sense, both prices are 33% off the "list" on each page. I spoke to a representative on the phone earlier and was told I'm good to go. I guess I'll sit back and see what happens.

Effects return on the F-1 routes the signal through the EQ section, then through the main output. There is no other way to skin that cat on the F-1 unfortunately, the sound of the F-1 pre-amp will be a part of the final result. I think it would work fine.
