EHX Bass Mono Synth

As a satisfied Future Impact user, I'm interested in this forums opinion on the added value of the Mono Synth for FI users. I'll be following this thread closely. The eleven sounds are very useful, but I can't imagine that they're out of reach of the vast editing options on the FI. I'm looking forward to a comparison.

If you spend the time with the Future Impact, I'm certain you can create identical patches to this newer offering. I've had some success with expression pedal use and the Future Impact as well and the new firmware promises to bring even more control to MIDI.

Bass Mono Synth seems to be ideal for someone looking for a handful of cool sounds that you can quickly toggle between and dial in...along with the ability to filter sweep.

Yeah that's what I figured. And I agree that the Mono Synth will be of added value, of course depending on the latency and sound quality.

At the end of the day, the time investment is the only REAL down side I've seen to the Future Impact. I'm likely going to part with most of my synth pedals as I get more comfortable with my patch libraries in the FI.

I was really hyped for the Bass Mono Synth until I saw what Source Audio was bringing in a few months, I will likely hold off until these start showing up on the used market once the shiny wears off and save a few bucks because I can still see that value and high fun factor.

Fun Factor Mel9= Blues trio gig making people look around when they hear orchestra, choir or a screaming sax solo.

Can't wait to hear some demos guys. Looks like SW is already out of them again.

I'm pretty stocked on this pedal. I think the so called limit of controls will be a good thing for this pedal. Any synth I ever had, I found a good sound and left it alone, rarely touched it again. I was going to wait for the SA synth but at the price these are selling at, I think I may try and grab one when I can. I wasn't too blown back over the sounds in the BMS at first. But after hearing a couple more demos, I think it sounds awesome. Can't wait to mess with it with an exp!

Ok I couldn't help myself and took on the challenge. It actually found very similiar sounds by just tweaking the default sounds with only the parameters on the pedal. To avoid cluttering this thread I posted it in the Future Impact Patch Sharing Thread.

Mine is on its way from SW. I will absolutely be getting the SA C4 when it comes out but the price on the Bass Mono Synth was too good to pass up. Glad I preordered when I did since the first batch appears gone.

My wallet and overcrowded pedal board thank you kind sir!
