I bought a P/J set of EMG GZR PUPs. Installed them into an Ibanez Destroyer. Very impressed with the upgrade! Only minor niggle..... The tone pot. It's noisy (scratchy) around the middle of its travel. I tried working it back and forth a few times, squirt of contact cleaner.... No luck, still noisy. Have tried contacting EMG via their web "Contact" form and also via email to customersupport_AT_emgpickups.com (which was the email address given on their support page), to see if I could get a replacement for the tone pot/PCB. Nowt. Nada. No response. Which is completely at odds with many of the comments I've read on this forum, about EMG being pretty good at customer support. Was going to purchase another set of these PUPs. I'll look elsewhere now, as I'm fed up with buying product from companies, (no matter how good the actual product itself), where the companies don't give a crap about their customers.

If it’s urgent, call them. They pickup on the first ring and they are very accommodating. I’m of the generation where I’d rather talk to build a rapport and relationship than send an email and wait. People will always treat you better in a conversation.

Sorry about your experience. I wonder if for some reason your email may have gotten lost, or in the spam box, deleted...
last year I had the total opposite experience with EMG.
I was tired of the 60 cycle hum on my jazz basses and I finally upgraded 4 jazz basses with EMGs. I had a bunch of questions and their response was always quick and helpful.
When I was done with my last bass i actually sent one last email just to thank their staff.
I hope you get your problem solved.

Call them directly. No wait time, I had my one problem fixed within 30 minutes.
