Very nice how does it sound?

Hmmm...... I really don't know what to compare it too.
All my other basses are Fender Style P's and J's. It is closer
to a P for sure. It is very bark/boom at the same time. The
PUPs IMO are very meh. Not bad but not great either. I use
to use it for punk-ier tunes played with a pick in my band.

It was a little too mid-y when I got it. It had a brass nut that
I replaced with a graph-tech if I remember correctly. With a
pick it is still pretty mid-ish but has a more defined low end.

For what a paid for it (got it on close out) it is a keeper for
sure. I might experiment with pickups someday.

I have an Eppi les Paul with half rounds and a rogue fretless with similar strings. I am seriously considering ordering a Carvin from the custom shop. ( see my post "Carvin custom shop"). I just can't make up my mind and pull the trigger. Don't have pics but will try to get some to post.

What should I inspect or look out for, when Casady bass arrives? Thx

Chuck, check to see if the fingerboard isn't separating from the neck towards the nut.

Some of the earlier Jackbasses had this problem, but I don't think it's an issue anymore.

Also check to see that your pots are not spinning after you reach maximum; my volume pot is, and I haven't fixed it yet.

Also, be gentle inserting and withdrawing the cord from the output jack. This is another of the Jackbass' weakness that I've read about, and have experienced myself.

Mike
