Double Bass Evah Pirazzi Solo Tension

Thank you for the lot of useful informations ! Yes me to, I like tension about 26-28kp, on my bass…I also interested on Genssler strings, but don’t find price and availability informations…
What do you think on D’addario Helicores solo? I used Helicores orchestral before, it was pretty good, seems pretty low tension in the exel file, and it has good price!

Tension on 108 cm from 26.5 to 32.5 kp for the Helicore Solo.
You can see that easily from my Excel file when setting the string scale to 108 cm.
I thought that might be a bit too high for you, specially with less stretchy steel core strings.
For Temperas there should be a website.
For the other Genssler strings you need to call or mail Gerold. Do a search for his name. You can find phone number, email address and maybe an older leaflet with information there. I can remember having seen it on Talkbass, but not where.

There is a Tempera solo model. Go “order” and you will see the price and all that good stuff. They are responsive to email. So is Genssler.

26.5kp seems lower tension than Obligato or most of the solo strings…
I checked Gensslers order, they are pretty expensive…I can’t spend that much now, for that project…..

This was already suggested (bumped set) but, another vote for it: The Evah high C is a high tension string, works well tuned down to A. Try starting there, then try Evah Regular G tuned to E for second string, etc. Based on what you seem to want, may work for you.
