Ever seen a dead Jaguar?

Hey Bui -

Dunno if you're interested, but the Lewisville GC has a sunburst Jag. At least, it was there a few days ago. Probably still is, cuz they don't do a lot of bass biz in there. I know your heart is set on white, but the sunburst are scarce too. I'm just sayin'...

Thanks for the heads up Jo! I'm not a fan of sunburst though...really don't like that look for some reason :hiding:

I'm currently pestering every internet vendor to see what their bottom line is...if that doesn't turn anything up, I'm going to head to the Plano and Dallas GCs to bug them in person :D

I make the rounds weekly to the Lewisville, Farmer's Branch and Plano GCs. As of last Sunday, I only recall the one in Lewisville. They can check their nationwide inventory and possibly scare one up for ya, though...

Wrbass, look at it this way you can sell the amp for about 200$ and your bass costs around 300$ in the end grab the extra little blem money and just rock it, thats what i would do all in all you would probably have less than 300$ into it, you cant even get a used jag that cheap and maybe not worry about dinging it up and just refinish her sometime.

(I didn't get the amp! I was too late so they let me have the bass for $509 instead.) :o

Thanks again...a sunburst may serve its purpose for me too, in trade;)

My friend says he remembers seeing one at the GC on 75/Lovers...I can actually stop there and the LBJ one tomorrow on my way to pick up my sister in Dallas...

BUI my bass is semi playable and the neck looks real similair to the SX i owned i think neck for neck they are about the same quality smae with bodies. I may grab one and mod it a bit .

I'm strongly considering this option, and am doing more research into the neck...the body materials are both alder, and all the other parts are easily changed (if needed). Necks are expensive though, so that will be the selling point for me.

I mean i have the jag in my hand and this neck is veryyyyy similair the SX was more orange tinted
Buy the SX you can send it back if you dint like it and get full refund no BS from kurt at rondo . I dont have enough in my bank to grab one.

BTW just cracked the jags control plate shielding looks the same as in my OLD VM squier. 500K mini pots how much money do you have to spend for full size? and the wiring is thin and not really durable looking.

You're absolutely right about the electronics...like I said, in mine some solders had completely broken off. And that is seriously one of the most complicated wiring schemes I have ever seen.

Yea mine holds tune so i can play it really i am not to impressed with it , the electronics need some sheilding and some ground work.

I sold the amp so i got 330$ into this fender would refund me 509.99 becuase thats what the receipt says but i have a trade in process and the guy really wants this so i am trying to get a new neck eithier way i am not losing anything.

I wish i had the money to grab that sx but i got to deposit money and work all day so its unlikely i will have a new one

Hurray, someone mentioned me! ;)

Oh yeah? i have had one awesome neck but the jazz picks pole pieces were way off leaving a dead E string. I was sad but got my money back. i still have not bought another but i will when i see one used for even cheaper :)

But really its(CIJ JAG's) board, color and over all feel , even the nut is cut to high just like my SX.So jags use to sell for 940$ and sx jazz basses sold for 100$. Same neck basically IMO the wiring and pots the same body wood same, a guards a guard. So realy its just some hardware differences.
