Ever seen a dead Jaguar?

Haha!! I haven't seen that one since they used it on the Aggies...

As I was packing it up this morning, I noticed that the bass was originally put in the outer box upside down...in order to read the labels right-side up, the bass would be standing on it's head *facepalm*

I'm thinking that, and the fact that the box was already used back in February, might have contributed to the cardboard fail.

Wow - I just read through all 12 pages and I can't believe a company like UPS still gets any business.

They screwed me royally last week. Im in Ireland, a friend was coming over and was going to bring over a nice new Acoustic Image combo. I called Gollihur's on Monday monring, placed my order and paid an extra $50 to have the amp delivered overnight from New Jersey to Washington so it would definitely be there by her departure on Wednesday morning.

Tuesday morning I get an email from Gollihur's saying UPS has emailed to say that my package has been refused delivery, meaning someone has actually said 'I don't want this package'. Gollihur's call UPS to be told someone has called up with my tracking number and refused the delivery.

I call my friend, she knows nothing about it. Meanwhile Gollihur's gets on to UPS to make sure the package doesn't leave Washington. My friend calls UPS and arrange to pick the package up the next morning.

Next morning comes - I get an email from Gollihur's saying my package has just arrived back in New Jersey. My friend goes to the depot to pick up the package, only to be told that the dealer (Gollihur's) called to ask for the package to be sent back to them. I call Gollihur's, they know nothing about this.

So, my friend leaves for the airport without the amp and now I'm $50 down, having paid for an amp to have a day-trip to Washington. At the time I couldn't imagine how all this has happened, but after reading all the stories here I'm really not surprised.

Well, my B-DEC was sitting on my porch in plain sight when I got home today. According to UPS tracking, it was dropped off at 1:11 PM. My Jaguar is due to be delivered on Monday, so I called UPS to ask that it be held at the local distribution center and I'll pick it up. They said that unless that has been set up before it is shipped they can't do that.

I then asked that they not leave it unless someone is home to take delivery. Again, no deal as a delivery signature has not been requested by the shipper. I then asked that the driver at least leave it on the side porch since it will be out of sight, plus the afternoon sun hits the front porch and it has been pretty hot. They said that they'd make a note of my request, but where it is left is up to the driver.

Oh, the good news is that the B-DEC box arrived without a single hole, dent, or footprint. That may be a UPS first for an item delivered by them to my house. I hope that my Jaguar fairs as well and that it is actually still on my porch when I get home on Monday!
