My favorite online retailer is Best Bass Gear. They've given me such good customer service that if there's something I need that they carry I don't bother shopping around and just buy it from them.
Everything except strings.
Bass Strings Online has fantastic selection, great prices, fast shipping and Jason has always been really helpful. In fact, I'll be restringing two or three basses next week (flats, nickel rounds and/or stainless rounds) and placing an order with BSO.

I only buy strings from Bass Strings Online. They have a great selection, shipping is very fast, and they communicate very well with their customers if you need a recommendation or if they're out of stock on your order. If they don't have a set that you want, they will try to piece together a set out of single strings if they stock them. Oh and they have the best prices too. I have no reason to consider shopping anywhere else for strings or accessories.
I've bought strings, cables, Amps, cabinets and effects and in all cases it was the best price, service and even info I could ever ask for.
In all actuality I could probably get a string deal from a manufacturer, but for a few dollars more I want to support this great business.

Just signed up at BSO. I wanted set of Fender flats. I have a set on my Jazz and wanted another set for my Yamaha. I knew I wanted the same set as I have now was about to select them and just now, for the 1st time, noticed their disclaimer that they only ship Fenders within the USA!....Aughhh

I recently ordered a set of TI Flats and got them very quickly and saved money. Then I bought a 5 string so I bought a set of TI Flats. They were out of stock, so it took about a week (I mean only about a week) to get them and I saved money. I would be a great customer of BassStringsOnline, except my strings will last me forever because they are TI Flats. Unless I get another bass.......Hmmm....
Needed custom sets of TI Jazz flats for my longscale Dingwalls. Jason set me up.
Now they even stock Dingwall brand strings, which gives us a domestic source here in the U.S.

I really liked the prices but wanted to see if anyone would have any negative feedback. I tried searching the strings forum and found random mentions of bso but never found a full thread about them. Call it due dilligence.

lol! No you won't find a negative experience about Bass Strings Online. You'd have better luck searching for Bigfoot.
