Favorite "boutique" bass

Roscoes are great, and I have a new Skjold that I absolutely love. I'd recommend both to anyone.
I was never much of a Fodera fan, until I played the Yin Yang models. I now have a Yin Yang Standard 4, and I love it too. You can't go wrong with any of these.
I love the sound of Norm Stockton's MTD; if you play funk (thump/pluck), that is THE bass to do it on.
I don't know thing one about Warrior, but it is the brand I see more of for sale on TB than any other boutique brand.

Like others have said would happen, I think highly of my "boutique" bass, a 1993 Modulus Quantum 6. The reasons are that its graphite neck is the very definition of stability, plus the neck is pretty shallow yet wide enough for the six strings. So, my moderately sized hands can still reach across the neck. I have also played and loved (but not owned) Pedulla fretless basses which sound just incredible with their coated fingerboards.
My definition of "boutique" has changed over the years. I have bought three Carvin/Kiesel basses since the Modulus 25 years ago. I find the Carvins/Kiesel equal to my Modulus in construction, sound, and playability, but much more affordable.

I hate to pick favorites, but here are two of them...
My holy grail bass for almost 2 decades was the Warwick Streamer Stage II 5-string. In 2015, I finally bought one, and it has not disappointed. Best bass I've ever played. Granted, some of the "mystique" has worn off just from actually owning one, but it's still a gorgeous bass, and I'm really happy with it.

I've never played one but have always thought this would be my ultimate bass of choice. I have a Katana NT which is an excellent instrument and a Corvette $$. Have always liked Warwick's. Maybe someday I'll trade everything in for a Streamer Stage II 5 string and be done!
Don't understand why a greasy, slippery smelly bass is considered a good thing by many of you....

All of these mentioned should be excellent players and it is just a YMMV situation. Some I have owned, some I have not. My experience has told me that price is inconsequential and a personal decision. I just love the craftsmanship.
I got a custom Fodera 4 a few years back and that is the one I keep coming back too. It's backup is a Geoff Gould 4 that sounds very similar with some custom Nordy pickups and pre, same strings. The GG is my go to when heading out for parts unknown. It is blue and non-descript.
I buy and sell a bit. The true custom stuff is hard to sell while a recognizable boutique manufacturer is not that hard. Even though the Fodera would sell for twice as much as the GG, it should be easier to sell. I ain't selling either one so can't be sure!

I love and own a Mod Q5 (coco top) and Fretless Modulus Bassstar.
