That's a tough one... so many pedals have come and gone for me this year. I'd have to say that it's a tie between my Burns Buzzaround Clone, my bent BF-2 (oh the ridiculous noises it makes!) and my Red Panda Labs Bitcrusher... annnnnnnnnnnnnnd my Devi Ever Vintave Fuzz Maker... and my Flanger Hoax...

Shoot. Do I have to pick one? How about all of them?

EBS MultiComp Compressor Pedal. Gives a nice punch to the Stingray and adds tighter definition to the notes below E.

Although since I got my Tobias Classic 5 I haven't needed it!

Honorable Mention: Tascam BT-1 Bass Trainer. An extremely useful tool for learning songs.

2009 was a big year for effects for me. 2008 saw the VT and Blowtorch, so 09 would have to be the MXR octave delux, the Wounded Paw Attack Goat and perhaps best of all, bought and used in practice just yesterday (so I'm still thrilled), the Xotic BB Preamp. I could see using just that pedal if there was no space for the board... Glad I didn't get it earlier though (even though that would have saved a lot of money) because I learned allot through the research...

Tough one, but Maxon FL9 flanger. Easier to decide which pedal I sold, and miss the most, EBS Valve Drive.

To put in context, this is what I bought in 2009 (and some which were subsequently returned or sold): EBS BassIQ, EBS MultiComp, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone, Electro-Harmonix Memory Toy, Diamond Boost-EQ, E-Bow, Keeley C4 Compressor (no longer own), Line 6 Tonecore Echo Park (no longer own).

My favourite purchase was the EBS BassIQ. I never had a Q-pedal before, didn't even have a practical purpose for it when I bought it to be honest, but my cover band added some songs soon after where I needed it (e.g. Fly Away - Lenny Kravitz), and it's just 100% fun to use. I don't have the co-ordination to use a wah pedal, so the auto-Q suits my needs.

The most IMPORTANT purchase though was a Voodoo Labs PPII+ ... by far. Not an effect, but definitely crucial as I was getting ground loops with my previous power supply. I'm now running 9 pedals (including the aux outlet) with virtually no noise.

With all that said, there's still a day and a half left in 2009 and I'm gassing badly for an EHX Stereo Memory Man with Hazarai ... as usual, I'll figure out WHY I need it after I get it.

Bought and traded several,...my favorite though was the G Labs Wowee Wah. Tried several different wahs,..this one actually sounds great.
