Ah, yeah BRAND X ruled - even PHIL COLLINS ; }... I think Percy also played on ex-BLODWYN PIG saxist/winds/electronics guy JACK LANCASTER's solo album, and with the Italian fusion/prog group, NOVA.

Never thought about it, but when I took up bass ten years or so ago I went straight to fretless (5- and 6-string) - he may have been an influence in that choice.

But Geddy IS a prog bassist. In an interview I read a while back he said the reason why he bought a Rickenbacker was because a lot of Prog Rock bassists in england were using them. haha

Very cool to see his name mentioned so early! He's been the first bassist I listed in the "Influences" in my profile for as long as I can remember. Glad to see there are a few other fans her too.

Nice pick! I think his tone is better than Squire's as well. Classic Rickenbacker tone! Check out the album Day For Night, one of my favorites.

Dave Hope is the man! I was surprised to see his name mentioned here so early too. Very under rated and under appreciated in the bass world (IMO). His bass lines are so tasteful and fit the songs so well. The tone of his P Bass always cut through nicely too.

Oh yes, and that was the sound I strived for when I was younger -- it still does things to me now . . .
