That color is awesome!
Paul, what was the official name of the gold , was it Desert Gold? When was it offered?

I have never owned a Ric so I didn't vote

If you really want the full story on Rick colors and their official names and when they were produced, it's in the book!
The story of "Autumnglo," "Walnut," and "Brown" is rather complicated, not entirely clear, and still confusing. But it's in the book!
Where did you see that ? I don't see that on the Rickenbacker website.
Any of the blues would be nice, but the Azureglo COY is my favorite. Only 6 lefty 4003s made, though - so I'm not holding my breath waiting for one...Still, my Desert Gold 4003 is really pretty - out in the sun. Pretty beige-y otherwise, though...

Well, Azureglo was never a COY, and I don't know how anyone could know that just 6 lefties of any Rick were made. The full story on all the Rick colors (up to 2013 anyway) is in the book.
Well I went ahead and ordered a Ruby 4003 yesterday from Wildwood. Looking forward to getting it! Also, thanks to anyone on this site who has recommended Wildwood. They are a pleasure to buy from!
Hmm. You must have gotten the last Ruby 4003 they had because I don't see any others on their site. Ruby was discontinued earlier this year (I believe).
I find the lack of BlueBurst disturbing.
