I like them BLACK, but have to admit, that the walnut ones look damn slick (GAS!)

Wow! Talk about an object of desire. That's an absolutely beautiful bass. Excellent picture as well. Thanks for posting the whole image. That's the definitive "Fireglo with checkerboard binding" if I ever saw one.

Apparently a lot of other people think so too. That piece of your larger picture is the second image that appears when you Google "checkerboard binding." That's no small accomplishment. You're famous!
(In a Googley sort of way)

Voted for Jetglo, but I do really like the current Midnight Blue version.

Never used to be a fan of MapleGlo, but I have "come around" to it, so long as the wings show some nice grain patterning/figuring in the wood. A lot I have seen just appear to be "Plain Jane" "bits of wood", rather than showing any grain patterns. The MapleGlo 4004's are gorgeous, as they use figured/patterned maple.

The old 4001 AzureGlo was gorgeous too.

nice looking bass, the fretboard is shimmering red too

Well, red-ish, yeah! That's bubinga which varied from light to intense reddish brown over the years. Now, if you want a really red fingerboard, find (good luck) an actual 4003SPC Redneck where a maple fingerboard is overpainted with that same red as the rest of the machine:
