I will confess that my plan was to buy it no matter what (the DE-CL) when my name came up last month. I figured I already had enough compressors but I would just give it to my dad as a Christmas present if I did not think it added anything to what I already had.

Apparently the number means how many people are ahead of you. So I went from #173 to #73. This means there are 72 potential buyers ahead of me. I found this out today from Glen.

I obviously can't get it to sound exactly like the Cali76tx, but I can get it to give me a very similar kind of compression. I am really hoping I find a way to get it on my main board and not just on the secondary one.

Was so bummed. I received my email notification that there was a A WONDERFUL FEA pedal awaiting me but was deployed for a couple months and missed the cutoff for my order by a couple days. I will be on the lookout for used ones I suppose.

I'm sure someone has already posted this but last night I discovered that since the DE-CL has separate output levels for the compressor and limiter you can effectively set up the pedal to output two completely different output levels. Normally I have both the comp and limiter engaged all of the time, thus the limiter's output level is what is enabled. However, if you bypass the limiter, now the compressor's output level is what's used. You could set it higher than the limiter's output, thus effectively have a volume boost by simply bypassing the limiter section.

That sound's like a complicated procedure to me....and you notice the difference on stage do you?

Not that complicated. You have two unique volume out controls labeled GAIN. The comp's volume out control gets totally disabled when you engage the limiter per the website "NOTE: When the limiter is active the compressors gain control is deactivated and the limiters gain control sets the output level."

Thus by simply engaging or bypassing the limiter section you can bounce between two volume outs. I happened to have my comp or limiter volume out set particularly high for some reason, when I toggled the the limiter on/off it pushed my amp's front end into overdrive, thus this accidental discovery. Can't say I'd specifically use this myself, just sharing info.
