Here is where the mid chamber meets the baffle:

I've made it the whole way without brads/screws, but I think the bracing on the back panel will get me...

Yeah, that's a tight spot when it comes time to mount the 3015LF. The driver doesn't have a top or bottom, so you can rotate it to get the most room for your t-nuts. Even so, you may have to clip off one side of the t nut flange to get it in. Tin snips will do it.

Yeah and I have joined in the hunt. Has anyone used a lighter wood than plywood for the enclosures? I want to make it as light as possible but I'd probably have to add extra bracing right? If so would the added bracing to the lighter material offset the weight save?

Arauco plywood seems to be a good choice. If you have the cash, nidacore is tops for lightweight.

My 6ND410's came from Clair Bros also, the cone is indeed purplish, the M is inked out on the box and sharpied in with a 'D' as well.

Apparently, they are one of the largest or the largest sound support and custom PA design company in the world. They buy drivers by the hundreds. For some reason, they didn't like what the 6ND410's were doing for a specific project, and worked with 18Sound in developing a new 6" mid, which became the 6NM410. So rather than being stuck with 150 or so 6ND410's, they listed them on eBay, and on a private audio auction site as well.

The original 6ND410 boxes were probably chucked out when Clair Bros initially bought them, so to make them saleable, it seems they used the boxes from their new 6NM410's.

hmmm.... so i've read allot more just now and the cabs seem great.

However I can't see the point in them in a band context?

Sure if you're pulling off solo work then i'd guess they're amazing.
In a band context you might as well not have a rig and dial straight into the PA with a monitor stack in ear shot and spend the cash on an awesome amp/bass?

I suppose in smaller gigs where you just have a PA for vocals then it makes sense or if you just want to make your own cab (which I imagine is a good enough reason in itself).

I'm not sure if this is a fad that'll blow over or not yet personally...

The thing with this cab is that it puts out what you put in. It has the ability to do that which many cabs do not. Add to that, that it is incredibly designed in terms of portability & volume/output ratio and you have one amazing cab.

Many, many hours went into its design, not with the ultimate goal of profit (which for every commercially built cab is the whole point) but to design and have built a cab that does not cut corners or make concessions in the name of profit.

I think it depends on your tonal desires. Kjung commented a while back that the Tecamp Puma 1000 is pretty much perfect for the 15/6. I recently bought (not yet received) a carvin bx1500 which I will pair up with a VT Bass (love the fatness of that pedal). Combined with the features of the bx1500 with the fatness of the VT, the 15/6 will purr nicely.

It should be here in a couple weeks or less hopefully. I've owned the bx1500 before actually and regret selling it. 900w bridged at 8 ohms is perfect for the 15/6 cabs. It is an inherently bright amp though. I definitely would not run it flat. However, it has a huge amount of tone control and even without the VT it sounds very nice IME. The VT just brings the fatness that I love though. I also love that I can just flick the on switch for the graphic eq and instantly have access to a very different tone. Sundogue has the bx1200 which is very close to the bx1500 and also has nothing but great things to say about it.

Amps I feel would work well...

Any amp that has versatile tone and EQ control and enough power.

Amps that may not work well (depending...)...

Any amp with limited EQ'ing ability or power.

fEARfuls will put out what's put into them. If you have an amp with enough power and tonal flexibility, just about any tone is doable.
