i agreeyou either play or go home. gender has nothing to do with it. no one in my 'jazz circles' cares about anything but the playing.
edit: the cool thing about jazz = no gender issues, no race issues, no class issues....

On a slightly more serious side, if anyone is interested in a more in depth discussion about some stuff, I'm pretty open to having that conversation and I'm all for trying to help expand other folks perspective on this stuff, but one thing that tends to happen when topics like this come up is that its not a debate. There isn't any winning. There isn't any proving which side is right or wrong. Its about growing and learning and gaining more empathy and understanding for your fellow person who might totally have a different set of experiences in life than you might have.
Having discussions like this in bad faith is worse than not having than having them at all, imo.

The inability to differentiate a legitimate question from the nonsensical is a somewhat lost skill in this modern world. Drama is craved by so many people today. It’s disheartening.Dimorphic differences in expression of secondary sexual characteristics are going to be less important than someones overall strength, fitness and other factors.
