I've never understood how she can play with such long nails on her fretting hand let alone plucking. Even mine are too long on my plucking hand today (when I start having issues typing or my wife complains about my talons I know...).

Anyone else listen to Hedvig Mollestad Trio? Been a fan for a few years, I don't know why Ellen Brekken is not more well known here. Great bassist on electric and upright.

can I just say that I’m impressed by your open mindedness? You recognize the world has moved - and you recognize that, and want to re-align to the current reality. Lots of phenomenal female players. Has Paz Lenchanchin (sp?) been mentioned? Rocker, with great groove and feel. So many great bassists to find!
