No. Left another voicemail last night with ADE rep.
Who is your rep? If you want to PM me that would be fine.
Sorry that the process is off to a slow start but I do recommend calling the regular Fender help line, worked like a charm for me.

I played mine only a bit a before sending it back to address the issues discussed above. Playability was very good. Nice fretwork and light satin finish on the back of the neck. I didn't notice any dead spots. Similar to a "good" American Standard (as opposed to a dud with poor QC). Tone will vary depending on which pickups you select. Mine has the '63 P pickup. I didn't get to play it enough to compare it to my other Fenders or Laklands. Hopefully it will come back soon so I can play it more.Hi guys,
Aside from the pocket fit and bump issues, and I'm not saying these are not important, how's the playability, tone, dead spots etc...?
I checked out the American Design Experience for the precision and Jazz basses. Kind of neat, but the price was steep for what you get. I can see that it can have a lot of intrinsic value if you get custom lettering on the neck plate. That's it.It's pretty cool if you may not be on board with some of the options on stock Fender models. The pricing seems a little high, but that's probably got to do with the increased labor involved with just such a build.
I'm not quite sure what you're saying. How is getting an American Deluxe P less expensive? It's around the same price or more expensive than an ADE bass depending on the options selected. Plus, it's not a "traditional" Fender because it's active. The ADE program, for now, is to create a somewhat custom traditional J or P bass for a few hundred more than an American Standard.I checked out the American Design Experience for the precision and Jazz basses. Me. I'm Doctor Cheapo. I would rather buy an American Deluxe p bass instead of the design experience bass with ash body.
Not less expensive, almost the same price. Sorry about that.I'm not quite sure what you're saying. How is getting an American Deluxe P less expensive? I wrote about my experience a while back on another forum:
"In March of this year I ordered my vintage Jazz. About a month later, balls deep in excitement over cool lefty options, I also decided it would be cool to go for a vintage Precision as well, so I did.
3 months later I take delivery of my Jazz, and it looked and felt great at first, despite a slightly wonky placement of one of the strap buttons. When I went to adjust the neck a little, it became apparent that the truss rod was maxed out and recessed deep into the heel of the neck. This is a new bass. Also, the tuners were stiff and grindy. I returned it, asking for a replacement, to which Fender quickly and happily obliged.
In the meantime, I receive my Precision at the end of July. The second I open the case, before I even pick it up, the cereal bowl-like dip in the neck is readily apparent. It was horrendous. Naturally I try the truss rod, and it will not move without forcing it. That bass immediately goes back in the case, and off to Fender it goes for a refund.
So I'm still waiting for my replacement Jazz at this point, and it's probably not surprising that I had low hopes for that bass given what I've already gone through.
So I get that bass, and it feels good at first, but I discover that it has a nice hump past the 12th fret, and the bass is unplayable in that area. Naturally I was livid, so I reach out to Fender (and keep in mind I somehow retained Zen-like patience through this entire poopiee storm) to see what my options are. I really wanted this Jazz to work out.
I said that I wanted Glaser instruments to plane and fret the neck, and that I had good luck with a couple basses I had repaired there. The customer service guy said that was reasonable but he had to run it by some higher ups to see what they could do. So, after 3 weeks of waiting and no communication, I finally said 'screw this' and emailed to say I wanted to return the bass and scrap it all. I got an immediate response. Go figure. So that's what happened. Also, this replacement bass had an extra wiring channel mistakenly drilled from the neck pickup into the control cavity, and the drill bit had driven into the bottom of the control cavity as well. This wasn't visible in any way unless you take the plate off, but still. This is just plain incompetent. I couldn't believe how bad it all went, because Fender's American Standard stuff is basically perfect in my experience.
After I returned that lemon I ended up ordering a Stingray 4 (white, tort, matching headstock) for about $200 less than the ADE Jazz."
Regarding the issues some of you are having I wonder if they are like with the bad routing issues, are the bodies from Mexico because the bodies on the American Standards seem to be fine, I'm just wondering if the bodies are from Mexico and being produced as American bodies.
I've thought about having a Precision bass made but now I'm concerned with why the QC is being over looked.
Happy to say that after my horrendous experience last year as described above^^, I finally got an amazing ADE bass. I decided to try yet again (masochistic tendencies maybe?) and it paid off.
I went for a modern Jazz Bass.

I could babble about it more, but here are some pix instead.

Hey! I saw your YouTube video unboxing it! AwesomeAbout to order this today. 64 AVRI Jazz neck on a P-Bass body. 1958 P-bass pickus and vintage bridge. The only things keeping it from being an AVRI variation is the finish and the price, really. And the neckplate, which I am going to have engraved with my daughter's name. She's 4 1/2 years old and grabbed my ipad while I was building one on the site. As a child of the iPad generation, she designed this one on her own and it turns out to be my favorite of all the options I toyed with. The plate will read:
