Fender American Original Series Successor?

Essentially that the folks who wanted modern specs stuck with the American standard (or whatever the line is called now), and the people that wanted vintage specs wanted full, proper reissues. This certainly has the ring of truth. It also seems quite predictable.

Or is this mainly about 7-1/4"R and 6230 versus 9-1/2"R with 6150?

I heard today that we can expect something "new" in the UK in October but the only detail I got was nitro finish. We were talking 4 string jazz basses at the time and I was considering a Pro II. He suggested I wait to see what comes out in October…

Since both Vintera and Performer has poor selling result, I predict the whole new line will be only MIM player/player plus and USA Pro/Ultra, then group the current AO to cucstom shop category with new name.

If yes, the previous AVri stuff will be a treasure Hunt Craze。

Correct, I quite enjoy the feel of my AO '60s P-bass neck when playing it .. a solid P-bass with a powerful and vintage sounding pickup

Poor Vintera .. with that pau ferro boards you can't even look at them in my opinion … MIJ instruments they buy black rosewood boards ravaging trees in south east Asia and that's how it should be done ;)
PS at least trees can always be replanted …

I love the looks and tone of my AO 60's JB OW. But the eletronics suck. My tone pot is damaged and I'm just waiting for the season to end to get it replaced. Also sometimes the bridge pickup volume knob fails on me.
But it has one of my favourite necks that I've tried and it's super light which helps for the 3 hours gigs that I usually do.
I guess that for a bass that cost me around 1800 euros the quality control would be a bit better...

You don't mean the electronic but the tone pot. I have not had that problem with my Jazz. Not even thinking about changing the electronics. Great Bass. I think Fender built a winner with this bass. Thinking of the 70's jazz also.
