Fender Custom Shop Club

I settled on TI - works perfectly with 60' p all the time.

SW told me the CS said they are short handed due to the pandemic.

Sorry to hear about this experience. I placed a Team Built CS order through Sweetwater last fall and was told it would be ready this November. Well, I got a call from my SW rep yesterday and the bass has been shipped and will arrive tomorrow. Also, I find it odd that you paid for the bass upfront. I never paid a dime until yesterday when SW had the bass and was ready to ship it. In fact, early on in the ordering process I was told that if I later changed my mind, I wouldn't be liable for paying for the bass and they would just sell it on their website. I could have rejected the bass yesterday if I wanted. While chatting with my SW rep yesterday on the phone he said that things are taking longer due to supply chain issues. He also mentioned that because of that if I was to place the same order today it probably would cost me about $700 more.

Really weird how issues are so sporadic… I ended up getting a CS Jazz from a TBer and I plan to upgrade. Not exactly what I wanted but close enough. I might try the CS again in the future with a different dealer..

Hello all,

I just ordered my 60's Jazz Custom Shop w "normal" (not heavy) relic. It's coming w a reliced white PG. I want to put a reliced tort guard on her. Called WD and they don't do that. Pickguardian's website was really lacking and couldn't find anything there (perhaps I have to call them). Anyway, do any of you know of a company that makes a high-quality, reliced tort guard for a 60's Custom Shop jazz? Thank you so much!

They are expensive, but for me the only option is Spitfire. Anything other than an original 60s guard or Spitfire looks bad when it comes to tort guards.

Greetings Quad. :)

You said its "Coming with a white PG". Did you Want that PG or would you prefer the tort guard? Both? :) My first call would be to the Custom Shop if you'd prefer the Tort. If you know who your builder is you should be able to communicate with them. If not, a message/voicemail will certainly find its way to them and simply request a return call or message to confirm.

Just for the record...... I've used www.pickguardian.com many times and always been very satisfied.

Spitfire, looks the most period correct.

No doubt--Spitfire. Usually even nicer than the originals while still nailing all the details. A definite case of buy once, cry once.

Here are some pics of one I just got off Reverb for a newly acquired 1964 Precision.

Congratulations on ordering your new FCS Jazz. The one I have has the same specs. It's fantastic; great choices.

Awesome, thank you all so very much! Here is a teaser pic or 2 of my new '60' CS Jazz on her way to me!
