Fender Custom Shop Club

Been playing a couple precisions this weekend trying to find a FCS P to go with my FCS J. Narrowed it down to do local ones for sale, was wondering what the club thought of them. First is a one of the limited edition Precision Jazz models (p body with a 65-70 precision pickup and jazz neck), bound and blocked with matching headstock and lollipop tuners.

The other is a more classic/vintage precision in aged Sherwood metallic with a 62 precision pickup.

Both are amazing. Sonically the Sherwood with the 62 pick up seems to have that deeper tone, compared to some more sizzle on the Candy Apple Red. So I'm torn between going down the pure precision route, or getting something more unique (with the exact same neck that I already own).

Here is my jazz for comparison.

Both are cool, but I'd go with the pure P!

Why is it always a P with a J neck?
Am I the only one that puts a P neck on a J bass?
I've been wondering that for years - I don't get along with 7" radius necks nor the small 1.5" nut widths - my fav are the 1.75" oval C necks..obv I am the minority - lol ...i do love the 58' look with maple worn board. I have enough FCS P's at the moment..buuuut maybe if I sell my mint Pedulla MVP 4...hmmmmm ;)
