Well, after a few people here pointed out that my guitar didn't look like a '51 (something I'm sure I'd never have noticed on my own), I decided to call Fender! After explaining that the model year on the CoA seemed to conflict with the neck and pickup year listed in the specs, he looked it up in their system. At first he thought it might just be some kind of hybrid custom, but after looking it up we seemed to share the same level of confusion. He ended up sending me a copy of the "Custom Shop Floor Traveler" which indicates, in fact, the neck, pickup, AND body are all that of a '55. So it's likely a typo on the CoA or there's something unknown or magical about it that somehow makes it a '51. In the end, I really don't care...it's bee-YOO-tiff-all!
Don't take the naming conventions to heart. Fender does some weird things with its model names / years. For example, this guy is considered a 55 P but it was made out of a 59 body and 64 Jazz neck.
This one is considered a 66 jazz. It was made from a 64 jazz body and 60 jazz neck. The only thing 66 about it is the appointments (color, MHS and block inlay).
Naming conventions are nothing more than names and do not take anything away from how well they play and sound. Enjoy your bass - it looks awesome!
The set arrived and I installed it yesterday! Tremendous pickups, they are full, rich, analytical, powerful. Definitely a step-up from the stock ones.
Can't recommend Owen Duffy enough - he does fantastic work.

The wear and tear on the jaco signature bass is far from accurate! Far from it! The actual bass of doom before the rebuild is what the signature model is based off of. Fender did a good job but it would have took to much time and detail to really get it down. I like the non relic version better

The stock pickups are fine, nothing wrong with them; there are just better ones out there. I recently changed mine with a set of hand-wound ones from O.C. Duff, custom-wound to the specifications I wanted. The result was great: much more detailed pickups, harmonically rich. It was worth it. 
Here's my 70s CS Jazz Bass in Fiesta Red at a recent gig. It was built in 2015. I added a NOS Bad Ass II bridge and bass extender key.
No, pre-owned. I can't find any info on the bass but I do have the COA. Far as I can tell from the FCS price list, you can't order it either. Maybe its some kind of limited run? What is interesting about this bass is, the neck feels identical to my FCS Geddy Lee bass.
I always thought you could buy a bass with similar specs as long as it was built on the '70s platform...I was actually close to ordering a similar one through Wildwood sometime ago...
As @Midak said, do an online chat or call Fender with your serial. They will email the floor traveler to you that has all of the specs on it. Including what platform was used to make it.
Very nice btw! From the photo, it looks as though the bridge pup is in the 60s position. Fender does not seem to have any rhyme or reason to its naming conventions. Sometimes they use the platform, sometimes they use style and sometimes they seem to just make a name or era up. Check this guy out. It is labeled as a 57:
